Ingkung Ayam Kampung, Legendary food from Yogyakarta. Now, you can grab it at Kandang Ingkung restaurant, located in TB Simatupang Street South Jakarta. This restaurant is a branch from Yogyakarta. The restaurant is spacious, the parking lot is also spacious, semi-open design with high ceilings, so even without air conditioning, eating in the afternoon does not feel stuffy and hot. We ordered Corn Bakwan and a set of Ayam Ingkung Original, consisting of rice, ayam kampung ingkung, sauteed banana heart, sauteed papaya leaves, fresh vegetables, peyek bayan and sambal korek. The chicken is tender with abundant seasoning, in terms of taste, especially sauteed papaya leaves, delicious and not bitter. Whenever we eat here again, we will order the garang asam in bamboo, we saw other diners ordering it, we were already salivating. Looks delicious.

- The restaurant is spacious, and have many parking space - Food is okay, would recommend to order plain white rice instead of the savoury rice because the chicken already tastes very rich - Service is okay, and it has complimentary-ish free refill wedang - It is near big road, hence a bit noisy

Recommanded for group lunch or dinner event. I visit this restaurant with 10 family members. The location is reachable by public transportation (e.g., Transjakarta D21 and Jak Lingko 46). It is also near from Tanjung Barat Station. If you like Javanese food, this place is also recommanded. The taste is good enough. There is musholla for moslem to pray (capacity around 10 persons)

food was so delicious and the portions were big! there was even free jamu drinks and sayur asem at the front of the store. if was just a little hot as the semi outdoor are was bigger than the AC area. also just a heads up for people who can’t take spicy food (like me) make sure you ask about the spice levels of your order!

All perfect. Food is delicious (i ordered the package for 4 pax), service is excellent, normal waiting. No complaint and must try guys. They also have meeeting room for 10. Price is reasonable. Package for 4 around 160 kidr. One thing can be improved maybe if guest can just pay at the dining table without having to go to cashier.

The place is quite spacious, and the taste of the ayam ingkung is quite similar to the ones in Jogja. The parking area can accommodate up to 30 cars. Overall, it was a good experience.

One of the best traditional Indonesian food restaurants. Please come and try if you like what they prepare. Easy access from Simatupang toll road. Many parking lots. Good services from all the staff. Come earlier especially on weekends days. Recommended for all families.
